What we do
We install metal roofing in Monticello and the surrounding communities of Wright County and Sherburne County. Standing seam, steel shingle, and exposed-fastener panel, plus the repair, ventilation and snow-retention work that goes with them.
We are a service-area business. We come to you — there is no showroom to visit, which is normal for this trade and means you are not paying for a storefront in the price of your roof.
Three things we do differently
The attic comes before the roof
Most roofing problems in Minnesota are not roofing problems. Ice dams, condensation on the underside of the deck, and premature sheathing rot are caused by warm air leaking into a cold attic and by intake and exhaust ventilation that is out of balance.
So we go into the attic on every assessment. If we find the condition that killed your last roof, we would rather fix it than install a fifty-year system on top of it and watch it repeat.
The scope names the clip
Our written scope states panel profile, gauge, clip type, fastener, underlayment, ice barrier coverage measured to the code line, ventilation work, and the per-sheet rate for any decking that needs replacing. On one page.
This is deliberately awkward for us, because it makes our price directly comparable with anyone else's. That is the point. A bid you cannot compare is a bid that is hiding something.
We will tell you not to buy a roof
If your roof has years left, the assessment will say so and we will leave. We would rather be the company you call in six years than the one that sold you something early.
What you will not find on this site
No invented review counts. No star ratings we have not earned. No "jobs completed" counter, no award badges, no made-up availability widget showing crews that do not exist.
Those things are easy to fabricate and most roofing websites do. Fabricated reviews are an FTC violation, invented ratings in structured data draw a Google manual action, and a fake availability widget is caught by any visitor who refreshes the page. We would rather earn the proof slowly.

How to check up on any roofer, including us
- Verify the license. Minnesota's Department of Labor and Industry publishes a license lookup. Ask for the number, then check it yourself.
- Ask who is actually on the roof. Employees or subcontractors — either is fine, but you should know before you sign.
- Ask for the workmanship warranty in writing, separately from the manufacturer's material warranty.
- Treat a deductible offer as a red flag. Under Minnesota Statutes § 325E.66, offering to pay or rebate your insurance deductible is illegal in Minnesota.
- Confirm who pulls the permit and who books the final inspection. You want that permit closed in your records.

Common questions
Minnesota requires a state contractor license for residential work valued at $15,000 or more in a calendar year, and you should verify that for any contractor you consider — ours included.
You can check any Minnesota license yourself through the Department of Labor and Industry's public license lookup. Ask us for our number and confirm it independently. A contractor who is reluctant to give it to you has answered your question.
Because metal roofing fails at the details, and the details are specific to the system. Clip selection, thermal movement allowance, panel engagement, flashing at valleys and penetrations — these are not transferable skills from asphalt.
A company doing everything is competent at the common case. We would rather be genuinely good at one thing that suits this climate.
Ask us directly and we will tell you who will physically be on your roof before you sign. Plenty of contractors in this market subcontract, which is not automatically a problem — but you are entitled to know, and it should not be a surprise on day one.
